Before you apply
Submitting an application does not guarantee a class. We match students with volunteer teachers based on subject and availability; a match is not guaranteed. We will keep you updated through My PHWO.
Your application is stored securely and is never shared or published. Only authorised PHWO staff can see it.
How it works
Apply
With a live photo and an education document. No CNIC needed.
We verify
We check your details. Your documents stay private.
We look for a teacher
A volunteer who teaches your subject, in your language, at times that suit you in your own time zone.
You are connected
A private chat opens in My PHWO, where you agree your first class. Your volunteer adds a Zoom, Google Meet or Jitsi class link there. Phone numbers and emails are never shared.
PHWO only connects students and volunteer teachers. We cannot promise a teacher or a start date; your application stays on file and we contact you when a suitable teacher is available.

Common questions
How do I know I am approved?
You get a message in My PHWO. Find a match then shows cards you can request. Until then it says “PHWO is checking”.
Do I have to wait for PHWO to find someone?
No. You can choose yourself (Way A) at any time. PHWO may also suggest someone (Way B). Both work.
When will I get a teacher or a learner?
Volunteers help when they are free, so there is no fixed time and a match is not guaranteed. Sending a request on the board is the fastest way.
Can I get their phone or WhatsApp number?
No. For everyone’s safety, numbers and emails are never shared. Use the private chat and the class link.
Where is the class link?
At the top of your private chat. The volunteer adds it; the learner taps “Join the class”.
I said NO by mistake, or nobody answered.
Nothing is shared. Requests close after some days. Open Find a match and choose someone else.
Does it cost anything?
No. It is free. Nobody from PHWO will ever ask you for money.
Volunteers offer help based on their availability; a match is not guaranteed.
