Step 1
Most people support Peace and Humanity Welfare Organization (PHWO) with Zakat, Sadaqah or a general donation. Many supporters, at home and abroad, also ask about other ways to give: a laptop, a vehicle, a plot of land, a waqf, a gift in their will, or their professional skills. This page sets out each way to give, honestly. PHWO can accept the gifts below, subject to review and legal transfer; nothing is accepted automatically, and nothing here is a promise.
Every in-kind or property gift is reviewed by PHWO and accepted only where it can be used well and transferred legally.
Zakat, Sadaqah or a general donation, sent from your bank from Pakistan or abroad.
Ration, clothes, bedding, school supplies, medicines and household items.
An ambulance, van or car for patients, relief work and field visits.
A plot, house or building that could become a school, clinic or shelter.
An asset or fund set aside for good, so its income keeps giving.
Laptops, medical equipment, sewing machines, tools and solar panels.
A specific programme cost, such as a course, a camp or equipment.
A gift in your will, within the one-third limit for bequests.
CSR programmes, employee giving, matching gifts or in-kind support.
Teach, mentor, design, write or fundraise online from anywhere.
Office, laptops, internet, software and training for the team.
Tell us about a major or in-kind gift. Nothing here commits you to anything.
Step 2 ยท for larger and in-kind gifts
For a vehicle, land or a building, a waqf, equipment, a legacy or support for PHWOโs office and operations, tell us a little about what you have in mind. Nothing here commits you or PHWO to anything; the team replies by email or in My PHWO.
No obligation, no account created. Your details are used only to reply.
The details
Each way to give, explained
The simplest gift is money, sent from your bank through the Donate page, from Pakistan or abroad. Zakat is kept separate and given only to eligible people; Sadaqah is handed over in full to people in need; a general donation supports our programmes where the need is greatest. Every verified gift receives a numbered receipt by email.
Ration, clothes, bedding, school supplies, medicines and household items can be given at the Larkana office. Tell us what you have first on the goods donation form, so somebody is there to receive it and give you a written receipt. Please do not send anything expired or broken.
An ambulance, van or car can help with transport for patients, relief work and field visits. PHWO can accept a new or used vehicle, subject to inspection and registration transfer in Pakistan. A vehicle is accepted only where its running and maintenance can be managed responsibly.
Property can become a school, a skills centre, a clinic or a shelter. PHWO can accept land or buildings for welfare work, subject to legal title checks and transfer under Pakistani law. We will always explain what the property could be used for before anything is agreed.
A waqf is an asset or fund set aside permanently so that its income supports good work โ a classic form of Sadaqah Jariyah. A waqf for PHWO could be a property whose rent, or a fund whose return, supports our programmes. The terms of any waqf are agreed in writing and reviewed for legal and Shariah compliance before it is accepted.
Equipment can change lives directly:
Equipment must be in working order and suitable for use in Pakistan, including voltage and spare parts.
You can support a specific programme cost โ for example a course, a camp or a piece of equipment for one of our programmes. Choose a programme on the Donate page, or tell us what you have in mind using the enquiry form below. To help a single checked household, see Sponsor a case.
You may wish to include PHWO in your will. In Islamic inheritance law, a bequest (wasiyyah) to people or causes who are not heirs is limited to one third of the estate. A gift to PHWO within that limit can be a lasting Sadaqah Jariyah. Please take advice from a scholar and a lawyer in your country when writing your will, and tell us if you would like to discuss it.
Companies can support PHWO through CSR programmes, employee giving, matching gifts or in-kind support. The Partner with us page asks the right questions for organisations.
Professionals can give pro-bono work, and anyone can volunteer online from anywhere in the world: teaching, mentoring, design, writing, technology, accounting or fundraising. Volunteers receive a certificate and a letter of appreciation.
Unrestricted and operational support keeps our free programmes running. Alongside gifts for families, PHWO welcomes support for the organisation itself:
Religious giving (Zakat, Sadaqah, Fitrana and Ramadan gifts) is never used for operations; it goes 100% to people in need. Operational support comes from general donations, up to 30% of which may meet PHWO’s operating costs (at least 70% goes to welfare programmes), and from in-kind gifts given for that purpose.
